Flat Stanley Takes Manhattan

Whitney and I had a roommate date on Sunday for some Indian food (yum) and a little culture (sorta).

The F-train was living up to its initial this weekend and we way overestimated how long it would take us to get into the City. A little dosa-drunk and with an hour to kill before the show, Whitney and I decided to fill the time making me the coolest second cousin on the planet. Mya, my cousin's daughter, has a class project called Flat Stanley. Here's how it works. Stan is a character from a book she's reading with her class. He arrived in the mail (well, via my parents) with the instructions to take him on an adventure and document it with a camera. So…

An hour and lots of strange looks later, we headed to the theater. Now, we all remember Chelsea's post-London Wicked freak out. This is not that type of endorsement. The show was fiercely funny however. Some background – Avenue Q is a musical puppet show. Think, Sesame Street with nudity and cursing. It's a totally-irreverant-not-for-your-grandparents-two-hour-debauchery of a show. Here are a few of the songs that have been stuck in my head since:
